Nicole Sterrett has been a second grade teacher for five years. When teaching the children about recycling, she discovered her passion to help the environment. In 2006 she began gathering information she felt was valuable for young children to know about recycling. She then came up with an idea to put her message to a nursery rhyme so it would be easy for young children to remember. The rhyme was simple, so she added a second level to reach higher readers. Finally, she added another level with more specific details so that educators in her same situation might find her words useful. The rhyme has been put to a tune so that it will remain in childrenas memories. As a mother of four young children, Nicole is eager for people of all ages to hear her message and keep our planet beautiful and clean.
