Have you ever wondered what its like to grow up gay? Have you wondered why gay people marry? Have you wondered why gay people attempt suicide much more often than straight people? Or why they suffer from depression much more often. This book will give you some insight into those things. It is not just another "coming out" story. In fact it is more of a "staying in" story. What this book does is tell my story in a painfully embarrassing, brutally honest, and highly emotional manner. I believe it pulls the reader in and connects them to me on a personal level by revealing the thought processes that were going on in my head throughout each step of my journey. The 'Painful' part of my journey comes from my sexual orientation and a biological condition I call Hypersensoryism. The 'Mystical' part of my journey comes from my highly spiritual nature, which was there right from birth and includes many psychic events. When you combine these three themes, my homosexuality, my Hypersensoryism, and my spirituality, it makes for an interesting, timely, and compelling story. At the moment Americans are spilt pretty much fifty/fifty over the social issues of homosexuality, abortion, and the place of religion in government. Over time God made me aware that the life I've lived includes all the issues that divide our country, plus a few others. For that reason and because I truly felt God wanted me to share my story, I wrote my autobiography, "Anything But Gay: One Man's Painful and Mystical Journey Toward Self-Acceptance and God." By the end of this book your opinion on being gay may change. Maybe not much, but you should definitely be affected enough to at least ponder and pray on the matter a littlemore intensely.
