Dian Booth

Concert Violinist and Sound Healer, began her professional career aged 19 as a violist in the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
In the late 60's she moved to London where she was leader and soloist with the Royal Ballet Orchestra, Covent Garden, and leader of the Adelphi String Quartet.
Still in London in 1980, she discovered she had a talent for healing with sound and colour, and she has been developing this field ever since.
Realising she had a primal and sacred connection to the Earth and to Australian Aboriginal culture, Dian returned to Australia in 1994.
She is not only recognised by Indigenous healers in Australia and in South America but she now also accesses sound from other ancient civilisations, such as Atlantis and Egypt, and from other dimensions.
Currently based in Alice Springs, Dian travels widely conducting courses, lectures and workshops.
Dian Booth has been developing the use of sound and colour for healing for 20 years.
Dian is also a Master Teacher of Meditation and Life Skills in the tradition of Buddhist Teaching and Practice.
She studied intensively for 14 years with Roshi John Garrie, one of the most demanding Meditation Teachers in the Tibetan/Zen tradition in Europe.
Her approach has been informed and strongly influenced by ancient Egyptian and ancient Australian Aboriginal healing methods.
She is also a professional violinist and psychologist.
In Alice Springs she was honoured by being given permission to use Aboriginal Healing Land to give workshops.
Sound has been used as a tool for healing for thousands of years. In ancient civilizations sound was not only important, it was essential and was often used in association with colour. This knowledge was lost for a time but rediscovered in Greece by Pythagoras, and then lost again. It is returning to us now because it is essential for healthy functioning in the 21st century.
Sound as well as colour, (or light) are the two basic ingredients of all physical matter. This is a fact that has long been recognized by aboriginal societies - Australian Aboriginal, Native American, African and Asian. They have recognized that vibrational forms are the building blocks of all matter and if there is a state of imbalance in a person, then it makes sense to go back to the building blocks to change that. It is more efficient that taking off the roof or the walls. There is more potential, with sound and colour, to change energy quickly.
