Megan's spiritual journey through the practice of Yoga and Chi Kung began just before her seventh year when she received a simple blessing from Swarmi Venkatesananda.. 'Be good, Do good, may God's light Always shine through you.' This light has guided Megan to continue to seek knowledge and insight through the practice of Yoga and other forms of internal movement.
Megan's formal studies have included Science, Naturopathy and extensive training in Yoga and Chi Kung. Megan has continued to develop her knowledge through different paths of Yoga and internal arts, developing a deep awareness of the intricacies of the science of Yoga and meditation. By 2002 she had developed her own form of Yoga named, Manasa Yoga. Manasa Yoga draws from a Sanskrit term meaning 'to move from within the spirit or soul' It is a synthesis of intuited yoga postures, natural breathing awareness and the internal energy system, Chi Kung. Together they form a gentle but dynamic form of yoga and meditation that draws from our own innate wisdom and knowledge. The essence of Manasa Yoga is to allow the practice of Yoga and Meditation to become accessible for all people, with the passion and belief that this practice has the ability to improve people's health and well being.
Over the following years Megan's insight and understanding of the science of yoga allowed her to bring the subtleties of the practice of yoga and meditation to all who participated in her classes. During this time she was requested to write several Yoga manuals for the Health and Wellness sector.
Six years ago she began to work with specialist need groups. These have included people with physical or mental disabilities, in rehabilitation, PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), Veterans and those suffering Depression.
In 2003, Megan began developing a Seated Yoga Program to address the specific needs of the less physical or able person. In December 2004, the program was produced as a Video/DVD to allow for wider use throughout the community with an emphasis on both visual and audio presentation.
Since the release of this unique DVD/Video it is been embraced throughout Australia and the United States. Megan began receiving requests for public speaking on the benefits of Yoga and Meditation for the community. These presentations presented with insight, passion, knowledge and a healthy sense of fun and movement have brought further recognition of the gift of Yoga and Meditation to the community.
Her public presentations have included the following with requests extending through to October 2006.
February 2004 Diversional Therapy Ass Brisbane Queensland, Australia
February 2005 Aged Care Standards Ass Brisbane Queensland, Australia
April 2006 NAMIC Congress Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

Megan is currently continuing to contribute her knowledge and insight with several pilot Yoga/Meditation studies for government and private Institutions.
