The many gigabytes of data that the average company manages can be used more effectively through the development of a customized and effective knowledge management and collaboration "ecosystem." An equally important challenge is for organizations to enhance the productivity of their key employees ("knowledge workers"), and leverage the massive investments that have been made in information technology. V2.0 of the SharePoint products provide new features that users of the network, especially managers and knowledge workers, will benefit from every day. Many other technology improvements can't be seen or touched by the general user community, but SharePoint Services and Portal Server integrate with the products that are used daily and make it easier for everyone on the network to find the information they need, manage it, and collaborate with others.
