Over the last three decades, Steven Halpern has clearly learned a thing or two about creating music with ingrained healing potential. His compositions are built upon a therapeutic foundation, helping the listener to embrace the tranquility that lies within. RELAXATION SUITE is a perfect example of this. The music was specifically created to induce a relaxation response in a listener, utilizing soft harmonics and lush instrumentation to create feelings of bliss and lightness. The cello work of Grammy Award winning artist David Darling adds a peaceful, emotional component to the album, serenading the listener with its touching reverie amidst Halpern's gentle electric piano. It's hard not to the feel inner joy while listening to the exquisite interplay. The shakuhachi flute of Jorge Alfano and the silver flute of Bettine Ware are likewise used on the album to the provide a peaceful, therapeutic quality. All of these elements are submerged in a velvety blanket of tranquil moods of Halpern's design.
