"Stucture View" takes a fresh look at work from the last 15 years by three researchers who have been intimately involved in the area and the debates within it. This book focuses on two main themes. First, it reviews a significant body of evidence, both theoretical and empirical, that has accumulated particularly over the last 15 years. This work appears in relatively disparate locations and no single work has tried to bring it together. Second, it uses this work to motivate our view on how the viewpoint debate in object recognition can be resolved.
