What Ever Happened to Puppy is written to bring to light the results of mistakes frequently made, usually with good intentions but which often result in fear and confusion for the animals. It is written from a dog's point of view and follows Puppy from her first home to the shelter. She was given as a surprise birthday gift (bad idea), not trained (uh, oh ), then unwanted. She is dropped at a park, wanders the streets, hooks up with a street savvy dog, and gets caught by animal control. Her new life is strange, she is frightened, but soon realizes that she is safe and cared for. As all the animals do, Puppy hopes she will find her forever family.
