A C Flanagan is a Sydney based author and mother of two. Her passion for writing was inspired by the desire to understand the fundamental emotions which shape our societies. She believes that with understanding we are all in a better position to make choices that will change the way we view our fellow man and in turn step closer to peace on our planet.
The middle child of seven, A C Flanagan grew up in Newcastle, NSW Australia. She studied Chemical Engineering at Newcastle University and later added a Diploma of Education to her degree. She taught High School Science in Sydney's west for several years before becoming a computer programmer for a large printer in the late 1980's. She now works as a Business Analyst by day and writer by night.
A C Flanagan's desire to write came when she was in her mid twenties but was not realised until she reached her early forties. A time when she felt her own life experiences had given her a new perspective on the mystery of human emotion.
Having children has been one of the most amazing experiences in her life, and with it has come the concern every parent feels for the future of their children and their children's children. She believes that the ancient tradition of storytelling is a dynamic way to inspire free thinking in the individual.

'Drought is inevitable if we continue to rape the land. The Earth is our Mother and she births everything for us. "Raindance" is a timely reminder of what can result from our failure to honour and respect the land we inhabit.'
