Louise Hay is one of the founders of the New Age/self-help movement from the 1970's and has been crowned by the Australian Media as 'the closest thing to a living saint'. Her life experiences, particularly her early years as a child, of an impoverished and abusive existence, have lead to her exploration and depth of understanding of the link between the health of the mind and body, and her ongoing life's work around the world to bring people the understanding and power to heal their lives and health.
Her early life experiences and the sudden ending of her 14 year marriage lead her to seek help and understanding at the Church of Religious Science in New York, where she trained in the ministry and went on to counseling, as well as becoming a very popular speaker, the beginning of her rise to one of the world's most prominent authors and speakers on mind, body and spirit.
These early years of active counseling assisted her to develop her knowledge for her first book Heal Your Body (which is still in print) to enable her to spread her knowledge further. She then went on to travel the United States extensively lecturing and heading workshops on loving ourselves and healing our lives.
A diagnoses of cancer bought all her gained knowledge to the fore, to cure herself with the combination of nutritional cleansing, visualization, affirmations and psychotherapy. All of these skills have been passed on in her best selling list of well over 50 books, CD's, DVD's and Cards, which have been sold into 33 different countries and translated into 25 languages.
As well as her busy life as a bestselling author, speaker and workshop convener Louise Hay went on to become the head of a very successful publishing house Hay House, begun in her lounge room and now includes such prominent authors as Wayne Dyer, Joan Borysenko and Doreen Virtue as well as many other renowned self-help authors.
Louise's most recent book is Heart Thoughts.
