About the Author
Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD, is internationally known for his work as a scientist, writer, and meditation teacher engaged in bringing mindfulness into the mainstream of medicine and society. He is professor of medicine emeritus at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and author of numerous books, including Full Catastrophe Living, Arriving at Your Own Door, and Coming to Our Senses.
Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D. is founder and director of the Stress Reduction Clinic at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. His clinic was featured in the PBS series "Healing and the Mind" with Bill Moyers. He and his colleagues in the Stress Reduction Clinic have used "Mindfulness Meditation" and its applications to help thousands of patients cope with problems ranging from cancer and AIDS to high blood pressure, panic attacks and chronic pain.
