About the author
Carlee Yardley grew up in Melbourne and dreamed of becoming a zookeeper. She became a primary school teacher instead because she always loved children, books, reading and writing. Carlee started writing and making fabric illustrations after her first child came along. She now lives near the ocean in NSW with her husband and four young children. Dog and the Lost Leg is her first book.
