For once there is an artist who can justify the hype?. this artist is Paul Leonard-Morgan.
Along with his prolific production and arrangement credits, Paul is the rising star of the film, TV and advertising world. At the age of 25 he won the BAFTA for Best New Composer, and later won a further BAFTA nomination for Best Original Music for Television. He has also picked up an Ivor Novello nomination for his score to the ITV drama Fallen
. Paul is now currently composing the score for the second series of hit BBC drama Spooks
, as well as following in the footsteps of revered composer John Williams (Star Wars
, Jurassic Park
) by scoring the new US Olympic anthem.
Paul is now ready to unleash his highly anticipated debut album on the world. Filmtales
promises to be a unique listening experience. With scant regard for traditional genre confinements, the album is a collection of vocal and instrumental songs, breathtaking string arrangements, haunting vocals and moving beats. The album boasts collaborations with Steve Mason (Beta Band), Richard Colburn (Belle & Sebastian), Jenna (Un-cut, Shape shifters) and Mercury Prize nominee Isobel Campbell.
Paul makes original music that fans of Massive Attack to Mozart will appreciate. Imagine a fusion of John Barry, the Go! Team and Portishead, and you might start to get an idea of this incredible album. It's as refreshing as it is unpredictable, the juiciness of the compositions render this an addictive listen.
