I am a registered psychologist in private practice in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney for the past 11 years. I believe that everyone has the ability to free themselves of stress and worry, to change their thoughts and feelings, to change their life and to be all that they can be. Seeing a psychologist like me can help you to understand and overcome your and/or your family?s difficulties and to lead you towards a more fulfilling and happy life. My aim is to be a source of help for clients by equipping them with the skills to make positive change in their lives.
Some general guidelines regarding the way I work:
I provide genuine empathy. I wholeheartedly put myself in my client?s shoes and genuinely seek a deeper understanding of their thoughts, feelings and situation.
I teach new skills. My aim is not only to understand and support her clients but to teach new skills that help them to effectively manage their thoughts, feelings and circumstances and to decrease the negative impact they are having on them and their loved ones.
I am originally from Montreal, Canada where I first did extensive university studies in Business Administration. However, after moving to Australia in 1993 and having Robert, my first child, my priorities and focus of interest changed and I decided to change career paths and become a psychologist. I completed my degree in psychology at Charles Sturt University and Monash University. I am also the author of the two books The Happy Toddler and Help! I've Created a Brat!
