Somatic Sounds is an innovative Australian company specialising in merging new technologies with nature in order to create breakthrough sound products. We have just released 'Sounds of Australia in 3D' and I have attached a copy of the album cover along some sound samples for you.
What makes the album different to any other nature sound CD?
We employ a special recording technique known as binaural recording or 3D sound recording. This technique enables your brain to hear in 3D, like in real life. This creates a sound experience so real and enveloping that you are shifted to Australia?s rainforests, oceans, storms and rivers instantly. 3D sound has an ethereal quality, clarity and realism that transcends normal stereo recording. You listen to the recordings with headphones for the full 3D effect or on stereo speakers for normal stereo sound.

Reviews of Sounds of Australia in 3D:
When I start to hear the rain drops around me, the room suddenly seems cooler. The air suddenly seems cleaner. I can close my eyes and feel a clean greenness surround me. I feel refreshed and somehow linked to this place I have never been solely because I hear the sounds of it, in fact, I feel them! I can see, in my mind, the big green leaves, wet with rain. I can see the birds ruffling their feathers and preening. I can feel the wet, rich soil under my feet. I feel grounded and centered and alive!

A rich, organic sound scape that not only captures the sounds of Australia, but its colors and textures as well. Masterfully recorded and mixed, it is sure to be an experience as much as a beautiful way to relax.
